Texas Strong. Agents in Action.
Keller Williams Realty was founded on the values of God first, family second and business third. For KW, this is not an empty mission statement, but a way of life for the agents who are Keller Williams. Portfolio Real Estate is proud to be part of the KW family.
Hurricane Harvey ripped a path through South Texas and the coast, uprooting and displacing millions of individuals and families. Lives were forever changed and now we face the uphill battle of rebuilding.
“Harvey hit Houston pretty hard,” said John Davis, the CEO of Keller Williams. “Rockport, Port Aransas, Corpus Christi, Beaumont and East Louisiana are all in need of our help.”
In response to Harvey, Keller Williams has decided to redirect their annual training event, Mega Camp. Instead of the weeklong, high-energy event designed to accelerate agents’ production and supercharge their profits through top-agent interviews, guest speakers, live role-plays and powerful panels, the agents are going to serve a much greater purpose: providing immediate aid to those impacted by the hurricane. The event has become Mega Relief!
“It doesn’t matter if we’re in Canada,” Davis said. “It doesn’t matter if we’re in the United States or if we’re in South Africa. We make our livings in the communities so, ladies and gentlemen, we serve the communities.”
Thousands of Keller Williams associates from around the globe will team up with community partners in Texas from September 11th to the 15th to make a difference in the lives of those affected.
“I’m excited that we are pivoting,” Davis said. “Mega Relief is going into the communities, both large and small, wherever the need is great.”
Shuttles will be transporting volunteers to safe areas for indoor and outdoor relief opportunities such as warehouse stocking, post-flood cleanup, construction and house restoration.
Volunteer locations will be in Austin and the affected communities across Central and South Texas.
As the Mega Relief website states, “Get ready for an incredibly rewarding week, as we put our culture into action and show the world who Keller Williams is and what we can achieve together.”
