Bring the Autumn Season Home
Who doesn’t love autumn? As we welcome the fall, it’s not hard to bring the best of the season into your luxury home. With a few additions, and by switching things out, you can enjoy fall inside and out.
Upfront – From the curb to the door, there are opportunities to inject color and theme.
In the garden - Annuals like chrysanthemum, pansy or ornamental kale and cabbage in your flower beds, or mounded in copper pots on the stoop are perfect foil for the season.

Front door – Consider something unexpected like a garland of tightly strung gourds and ribbon above the door.
Bunches of Indian corn with their husks gathered up with ribbon look smashing on an entrance door, or consider seasonal wreaths of bounty featuring flax, wheat, grasses and pods like Williams-Sonoma’s Autumn Harvest Wreath.
Fall Scented – Don’t forget the sensual, earthy scents of fall. Whether a room spray or candles, there are luxurious options to add a scented ambiance to your home.
Light up - Artumie’s Midwest Campfire Candle has a warm outdoor aroma inspired by smoky campfires with a hint of pine, vanilla, and wild berries.
Well spritzed - Anitcafarmacista’s Sandalwood and Amber room and linen spray is full of inviting woodsy scents and heady amber to bring the outdoors in.
Wrap Up - Throws and covers not only add texture but provide warm wraps for cool autumn evenings.
Rustic Luxury – Pendelton’s new top-of-the-line 5th Avenue Acadia Park Throw is the most luxurious they have ever produced. With superfine brushed merino wool, the feather-weight throw has a velvet hand. In stylish black, it’s a striking addition draped over a sofa back or stacked in multiples near a hearth.
Soft and Seasonal – Pillows are a quick way to add warm seasonal punch to your décor in the living room or bedroom.
Spot on – Axis deer hide pillows with their distinctive spots add texture and color to punctuate the cooler weather season. Defining Elegance has them.
They also carry French designer, Evelyne Prelonge’s faux fur pillows and throws that add luxury and show-stopping, if you dare color to your home.
Annie Selke offers a work of textile art and exquisite craftsmanship in their hand-screened Kenya pillow with autumnal colored hand embroidery made by artisans in India, Kenya.
Top the Table – Tabletop displays are an easy way to add autumn flair with flowers, pumpkins or gourds.

More than Halloween - Don’t regulate the bounty of pumpkins available to carvings for the kids, go for varieties like large white Lumina or orange Baby Pam.
For painting: Pumpkins with smooth skins are best for painting or decoupage. Try varieties such as Lumina (10-15 pounds, white) or Baby Pam (4-5 pounds, orange). Small Little Boo white, or orange and white Hooligan, pumpkins displayed in a bowl or filling an antique bird cage look sophisticated as a centerpiece. Look for two-tone color pumpkins like Jarrahdales in slate or blue-green. Fairytales with their mahogany hue make richly colored displays.
