Fitness motto for his clients: "What got you here today is not what's going to get you to the next place."
Summer is Coming Get Fit Tips:
1. Write down your goals. It is difficult to progress on your fitness journey if you don't know where you're going.
2. Routine is the enemy in the gym. Try something new! You can't expect different results doing the same thing.
3. You can't out exercise a poor diet. Nutrition is essential in getting your body dialed in for summer!
Garcia says fitness has always fascinated him. That fascination and a curiosity of different forms of fitness have developed a well-balanced background. He has experience in martial arts, CrossFit, yoga, body building, Olympic lifting, power lifting, endurance training and even Zumba! “It truly is my passion and it has created a lifestyle for me that gives me purpose and stimulates me daily,” says Garcia, who is currently prepping clients for the National Physique Committee‘s (NPC) national qualifier shows.
At a private facility, Garcia trains a broad range of clients with different goals and fitness levels, “I have trained people with all types of fitness backgrounds, from NFL and MLB athletes, International Federation Bodybuilding pros, MMA fighters, amputees, kids and the elderly, but the majority of my clients are men and women with normal jobs that want to get in shape.”
Garcia meets often with his clients and also gives them an actual program to follow for times when schedules can't be coordinated. “They have a detailed blueprint on what they are doing that day,” he says. Garcia’s approach and the workouts are personalized, “Each client is different and has their own unique goals. I'm not going to approach a mom who wants to get in shape for a family vacation and someone who is trying to improve their bench press max the same. I take time to get to know my clients with a detailed questionnaire before we begin our sessions, which vary depending on the client and so do results. I like to tell my clients not to worry about the number on the scale. You can lose 2lbs of body fat and retain 2 lbs. of lean muscle and the scale won't reflect your progress. My clients track their progress on their body fat percentage, how they look and feel, how their clothes fit, and their performance in the gym. I do guarantee results to each client and they have access to me 24/7.”
In addition to training one on one or in groups of up to three, Garcia also does online coaching. Known for not only guiding his clients through their fitness journey, Garcia says he also tries to get to know them on a personal level and develop friendships.

Fitness motto for his clients: “Love life, have fun and continue to learn by bettering ourselves one day at a time, one rep at a time.”
Summer is Coming Get Fit Tips:
1. Hydrate with quality water. Gies believes in a PH balancer product.
2. Go on long walks. Walks allow the body to reset itself and it is low stress on the body. Plus, you can get some vitamin D being outside.
3. Stay accountable - 3 x a week offers the most consistent progress. Hour sessions usually provide adequate time to learn, apply and repeat.
Gies was an athletic youth and says he was fortunate to have a background of success, “My mentality always drove me to be the best. I excelled at sports at a very young age, including soccer, which I still claim to have attributed to my ultimate development as an athlete. The journeys and challenges that I faced as a child growing up are what molded me into the person I am today.” Personal training provided him with a way to pay for college and grew his passion. “I truly loved learning about the body when it came to performance and health. I was also very good at it when I put my best foot forward. It’s a calling. Really it’s the full spectrum of health. I’m so grateful to be aware of my purpose in life.”
Accustomed to a variety of settings for training, Gies particularly enjoys in-home training. He also trains clients at a private training facility in Castle Hills. He’s trained all sorts of clients at various stages of fitness, and would never consider focusing on just one specific niche of fitness need. “Honestly, I love to help and educate people. The body is the body and it takes a long time to really learn how it operates. I just love to work with motivated clients, clients that when I’m talking they have this look in their eye, which indicates a thirst for knowledge. I've always said, the client and trainer both have to continue to motivate each other.”
His approach, as he says, is the whole spectrum. “First and foremost, a foundation of education to know how important basic concepts are. Fitness, health, wellness. Mentally, physically, spiritually. It’s all about getting stronger. Progressive strength with an understanding and focus on technique and visualizing the body as one muscle working together each and every rep, each and every second.”
Gies trains individuals and groups. “It’s really rewarding to motivate others. Some prefer the one-on-one while others like the dynamics of a group. It’s all about just stepping inside the gym and making time. If my advice is truly followed, results can be seen in in 2-4 weeks. It’s an easy process if the commitment is there.”
